

The Health Quality and Complaints Commission (HQCC) is an independent body dedicated to improving the quality and safety of health services in Queensland.
The HQCC is established under the Health Quality and Complaints Commission Act 2006 ( 741 KB) which commenced on 1 July 2006. It was established by the Queensland Government in response to a major recommendation contained in the Queensland Health Systems Review (known as the Forster Report) in late 2005.

The web-enabled Standards Reporting Tool (StaRT) will be available for the submission of Quality Improvement Initiatives, Mandatory Data and Quality Action Plans. Submission of Self Assessment data is not required for this round of reporting. StaRT Version 2.1 will be available on the HQCC website www.hqcc.qld.gov.au on Tuesday 6 May 2008.
